Missions

Local Missions:

Women Missionary Union: This group of ladies meet the 2nd Sunday night of each month in the youth sanctuary at 7:00 to promote missions in our church. They discuss and design plans to minister outside the church.

Brotherhood: This is the men's branch of church missions. They meet the 2nd Sunday night each month at 7:00 in the main sanctuary to promote local missions. This group is always looking for workers to help around the church and around town to reach a lost world.

Food Baskets and Benevolence mission: We assemble and deliver food baskets to families in need. We also support and give needed care to individuals who may be battling finanically to meet basic needs in our area.

Prison Ministry: We have members serving in Local Regional Jail to reach inmates with the love of Christ.

Boy's Home Ministry: We have members going into local boys home weekly sharing the word of God and building relationships with young men to bring them hope.

Onelife of Virginia: We support this great youth ministry that goes into all the schools in our area to present to students a positive message encouraging them to come to a nightly event where the Gospel is presented.

Buchanan County Upward Sports: We support this great Christ centered sports program that teaches game skills as well as life skills.

BackPack Mission: Each week we assemble and deliver backpacks of easy to fix open and eat foods to elementary school students who have a need. These foods are ready to eat so even a child could prepare them. This ensures that all children have food even on the weekends.

UNITED STATES

Appalachian Teen Challenge: We financially give to help support and also collect items to help support this powerful addiction recovery ministry.

Lamplight Theater: We financially give to help support. A powerful ministry that is reaching the lost with drama and worship.

Virginia Baptist Mission Board: We partner in giving with the co-operative program for the Virginia Baptists. Together we operate a Disaster relief unit, Missionaries, Feeding ministries, Outreach and many other Christ centered projects.

We also Work with and support: Alma Hunt Offering(Virginia missions) and Annie Armstrong Mission offering (North America missions)

World:

Bible Baptist Church: Pastor Abel Agravante Sorsogon City, Phillipines

Lottie Moon Offering: We prayerfully and financially support world mission through Lottie Moon missions offering.

Operation Christmas Child: We assemble and ship shoeboxes filled with gifts for children from all over the world each October. Thes boxes are taken to Boone, NC and are turned over to Samaritan's Purse and shipped all over the world.
